BOOK SIGNING
The signing at B Dalton Booksellers in Beachwood Place was easily the most exciting and rewarding event thus far. 18 copies of "The Last Champion" were sold to shoppers looking for a deep new literary experience! It's amazing how a verbal two sentence synopsis of this novel can compel an individual to buy this book! As always, the conversations were richly rewarding particularly when connecting with people who totally understood what the premise of the book seeks to convey. Christians were excited about a hard-edged futuristic story they could use to wake up their agnostic friends with respect to the fallacy of imorality and amorality. Non-Christians who question the existence or role of God were simply eager to delve into something meaty, challenging and entertaining.
A special thanks to the pair of Shaker Heights wide receivers from 1979 and 1981 who bought from this old Shaker receiver from 1980. That was an incredible coincidence that added to the specialness of the afternoon. (#89)
Thanks to Jerry, the good luck charm whose very cool coat must have been loaded with people magnets!
